Sète.

The seaside town of Sète is only about forty minutes from Montpellier so one Saturday we decided to go exploring. Of course that Saturday was wet and miserable, but hey, you can’t have it all.

Firstly, by a miraculous accident, we came across a sweet and biscuit shop, offering us free samples and shelter from the rain. We didn’t need to be asked twice.

Arranged so neatly, look how inviting it all is! And I didn’t know madeleines came in that many flavours..

Let’s not forget the biscuits – sweet and savoury. One of them was even flavoured with porcini mushrooms! Would go nicely with Tom’s super soup!

After leaving the warm arms of the cake shop, we wandered around a bit then realised it was coffee time. I mean, when is it not?

A cake or two may have fallen in.. And yes, that is me with the ice cream. What can I say, cold days just sometimes call for ice cream.

Just the ticket to warm us up!
